News update on Coronavirus situation in India.

MoHFW has confirmed India has reported 3,722 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hrs

3,722 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 tally in India reached 78,003, the MoHFW reported.
Out of the total cases, 49,219 are active and 2,549 are fatalities have occurred so far while at least 26,234 people have recovered from the disease.
Maharashtra saw a hike in the Covid-19 cases to 25,922 followed by Gujarat where 9,267 cases were reported and the number of cases in Tamil Nadu have climbed to 9,227 cases so far.In Delhi at least 7,998 people have been infected with the highly contagious coronavirus.
Other states which have reported more than 3,000 cases are Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. States that have reported more than 1000 cases are West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh , Punjab and Telangana.


In a truck accident 8 migrant workers are dead and 50 others injured in MP

A bus carrying migrant workers collided with a truck near Guna town in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning. 8 workers died and nearly 50 were injured, the police said.
Cantt police station in-charge Madan Mohan Malviya said that the accident took place between 3 am and 4 am when the victims were on their way to Uttar Pradesh border from Maharashtra.
Policemen involved in the rescue work were later quarantined in the wake of the COVID-19 scare, another police official said PTI.
In a similar incident an Uttar Pradesh state bus hit six migrant workers near Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday night. The victims used to work in Punjab as daily wage labourers and were walking back to their home in Bihar's Gopalganj.
