In Himachal Pradesh, 223 fresh COVID-19 cases were registered during the last 24 hours taking the total positive tally in the state to 19,844.

However, 231 patients have also recovered from the disease yesterday. The total number of recoveries in the state stands at 16,914. On the other hand, deaths due to COVID-19 in the state rose to 279.

Maximum 60 deaths each have been reported from Kangra and Shimla district. Currently, 2,623 active cases are being treated in the state. Maximum numbers of 473 active cases have been reported from Mandi district followed by Shimla with 445 cases.
