As kids waiting for the tiny tail to appear in soaked moong dal was something we all did in our science class in school. Sprouts are superfoods that add extra nutrients to grains, legumes and beans. The methods of germination increase the already present vitamins and minerals in those grains and legumes. 

How to Sprout

Many kitchen ingredients can be sprouted. Chickpeas, soybeans, moong beans, lentils and more can be sprouted. 

Rinse the beans or grains thoroughly. 
Place them in a water-filled jar or bowl. 
Cover the bowl with a muslin cloth and place it in a cool place
Take the water out every 2nd day and refill it with fresh water.
Once the sprouts are ready they must be consumed within 3 days.

Sprouts can strengthen and repair damaged capillaries which in turn increases blood circulation. Increased blood circulation helps keep your heart healthy and also helps generate new blood vessels.

Sprouts are loaded with living enzymes which can help speed up the digestion process. It also helps break down the food and helps the body absorb the nutrients easily. Sprouts also have a high amount of fibre which too helps the digestive process. 

Immunoboosting 

Vitamin C is a great vitamin that brings a lot of health benefits. Vitamin C helps generate white blood cells which are known fighters of our body. Sprouts have a high amount of vitamin C in them.

Helps in Hair Growth

Sprouts have a high amount of vitamin A and zinc, which stimulates hair growth. Sprouts also have biotin which helps make hair thick and healthy. Sprouts can also get rid of dandruff as they have selenium which is anti-fungal in nature.

Better Skin

With a high amount of vitamin A and vitamin C, sprouts can help give your skin a healthy glow. It also contains a lot of antioxidants that repair damaged skin. The presence of omega-3 fatty acids fights the inflammation and redness of the skin.
