A civil servant in Bihar was suspended as he violates the strict lockdown rule for Coronavirus pandemic for making a passage for a BJP MLA to travel to Kota to bring home his daughter. This triggers a major controversy.
Arun Kumar, the Sub Divisional officer who issued the pass in favor of MLA Anil Singh was suspended with immediate effect.
The notification states Kumar has been found guilty of negligence in issuing inter-state travel pass. Further disciplinary action has been recommended against the SDO. Singh had obtained the pass on April 15 and left for the Rajasthan a day later and brought back his 17-year-old daughter, a medical aspirant who was left alone in the hostel after the coaching classes in Kota got suspended in the wake of the lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
