When at some areas the Public Distribution System is struggling to meet food demand to all beneficiaries in the Sarvepalli region for the entire month, due to the nationwide lockdown the farmers made sure that not a single landless laborer sleeps hungry. Starting from a village named Golagamundi where farmers decided to pull together paddy to help jobless daily wage earners, it has inspired many other fellow farmers in the neighboring region.  Owing to these farmers, more than a lakh of families in the constituency, with or without ration, are now getting three square meals a day.
