Objection letter issued to Kerela by MHA for violation of lockdown

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) takes objection on Kerala’s relaxation of some measures the State took during the nationwide lockdown to curb COVID-19 pandemic. Issuing a letter to the State government the ministry reportedly said that relaxation on the opening of local workshops, barbershops, restaurants, book stores, MSMEs in municipal limits along with allowing bus travel for shorter distances is a violation of the order issued on April 15 under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
