Karnataka continues to report retarded Covid positivity rate. Yesterday the state reported 1630 new Covid cases and 1333 recoveries. The recovery rate is at a healthy 95.82 percent.

Karnataka continues to report retarded Covid positivity rate. Yesterday the state reported 1630 new Covid cases and 1333 recoveries. The recovery rate is at a healthy 95.82 percent.

The state has a Positivity rate of 1.33 percent and a Case Fatality Rate of 1.16 percent. There were 19 deaths reported yesterday due to Covid 19.
 

Out of total deaths of 11,714 reported till date, 6360 were those above the age of 60 years, thereby recording a case fatality rate of 5.3 percent in that age group.

There are 24,890 active cases and out of which 405 are in ICU. Keeping a steady pace of testing, the state conducted 1,22,454 Covid tests yesterday in which 1,02,480 were RT PCR tests.

 
Bengaluru Urban district reported the highest of 916 new Covid cases followed by Chitradurga with 70 cases, Mysuru with 61, Bengaluru rural with 51, and Tumkuru with 44 cases. There were 25 out of 30 districts where zero deaths were reported yesterday.
