According to officials, one woman had recently returned from the UK while the other had come back from Dubai.
“A 22-year-old woman from Mumbai tested positive for COVID-19. She had returned from the UK. Another woman, a resident of Ulhas Nagar, had returned from Dubai. She is 49- year-old,” an official said.The addition of these two new cases has taken the number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra to 49, the highest in the country.
According to the latest statistics PCMC area near Pune has 11 patients while Mumbai has 9 confirmed cases with a patient dead earlier this week. Navi Mumbai,Kalyan and Yavatmal has 3 cases each while one case was confirmed in Raigad,Ulhasnagar,Thane,Aurangabad and Ratnagiri.Ahmednagar has reported 2 cases till now while 971 tests has come out negative with 78 people are currently quarantined across Maharashtra.
