Republic Day is a public holiday where the country marks the date on which the constitution of India came into effect and celebrates its transition to a republic on January 26, 1950. After achieving the independence from British Raj on August 15th, 1947, the country did not yet have a permanent constitution; instead its laws were based on the modified colonial Government of India Act 1935. Later, the committee was formed to draft a permanent Constitution with Dr B.R. Ambedkar as a chairman.
Right to Health
The constitution lays down how the entire country will function. There are several laws, duties, rights, and regulations for everyone. Right to health is a fundamental right of every citizen of India under Article 21. It is our fundamental right to consume clean food, water, and air. This also includes the right to access adequate healthcare facilities and services without discrimination.
Health should be the first priority of a person. Eating healthy, drinking plenty of fluids, exercising regularly, and taking a good nap will all help you stay healthy. The healthcare system is as crucial as maintaining our health. The healthcare system faces issues like accessibility, availability, affordability and quality. To address these issues, the government has taken steps to digitize healthcare.
Digital Healthcare System
Digital health makes health systems more efficient and faster. Digital health is a concept of intersection between technology and healthcare. It applies digital transformations like software and hardware to the healthcare field. Digital health also include mobile health applications, electronic health records (EHRs), electronic medical records (EMRs), wearable devices, and telemedicine.
Stakeholders in the digital health field are patients, practitioners, researchers, laboratories, pharmacies, and manufacturers. These services of digital health give you the access to the health facility of your choice, medicines delivered to patient's house, tele-consultation facilityIt also helps hospitals organize big data on patients and inventory and helps doctors access patients' medical histories in order to provide appropriate treatment.
Let's make the right to health and the digital health idea our top priority this year on Republic Day to create a healthier India.
