Arunachal Pradesh reports 11 new cases of COVID-19

In Arunachal Pradesh, 11 new cases of COVID 19 have been reported on Wednesday, taking the state’s toll to 287. A bulletin issued by the State’s Health Department has informed that all the new cases are asymptomatic and are being shifted to COVID Care Centres.

Arunachal Pradesh has recorded a total of 287 COVID19 positive cases so far, out of which 176 are active, 109 recovered and two died. Sero-surveillance by ELISA started at various centres in the Capitol Complex on Wednesday.

After Meghalaya witnessed a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the last few days, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma asserted that the State Government is containing it. Talking to the media, the Chief Minister said, the numbers are going up but we are containing it within certain organizations like BSF where we have conducted 800 plus tests and the situation is not so bad as the spread has been contained within the campus.

On the number of cases being detected in the Ri-Bhoi district, the Chief Minister said that Khanapara is next to Guwahati and since there is a situation in the neighboring city the impact is felt there.

Stating that despite all precautionary measures being taken numbers are going up but it is in a selective manner and area, Mr. Sangma said, the government has decided that the norms have to be strict. The inter-state movement will be tightened even further, he added.

The Chief Minister also said that the government will go the extra mile to ensure that safety measures are strengthened so that the people are safe.

3 fresh cases of COVID-19 reported in Nagaland
With 3 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 reported in Nagaland today, the total confirmed cases in the state has gone up to 660.

In a tweet this morning, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom informed that at present, the state has 356 active cases and 304 patients have recovered from the disease.

COVID-19 recovery rate reaches 55.26 percent in Manipur

In Manipur, COVID-19 recovery rate has reached 55.26 percent after 22 persons were discharged from hospital today following recovery from coronavirus. The total number of people cured of the infection so far has increased to 793 in the state now surpassing the number of active cases that stand at 642.

Meanwhile, five persons were tested positive for Coronavirus in the state in the last twenty-four hours. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has risen to 1435, To facilitate testing, the Indian Council of Medical Research has sent 15,000 Rapid Antigen Test Kits to Manipur. The State government provided 300 kits to health authorities in Jiribam today and remaining kits will also be distributed to other districts of the state.
