5 Best foods for controlling diabetes

In diabetes, it is hard to manage a diet for optimum blood sugar level. Some food has great importance in diabetes as they help in lowering or maintaining blood sugar levels in the our body

In diabetes, the level of blood glucose increases in an uncontrolled way. This is due to the lack or absence of insulin in the body. As a result, the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats starts to deteriorate. If you do not take timely precautions, it can destroy your body's function like a termite. This disorder can lead to loss of vision, kidney failure, and many other diseases. Early detection of the disease helps in its control. Patients have to be very precautious in all their eating and drinking habits. Some food has great importance in diabetes. 

Bitter Gourd - The reason for not being the favorite of many is the bitter taste of it. It can be made eatable by removing its bitterness. Bitter gourd induces a chemical reaction inside the body, which helps in reducing blood glucose levels and controlling insulin. Drinking a mixture prepared from bitter gourd, a pinch of salt, little black pepper, and lemon juice is beneficial for the diabetic person. Drinking the mixture on an empty stomach is considered to be much more beneficial in controlling blood sugar levels.

Olive Oil - According to research, eating food that is prepared in olive oil can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes by 50 percent. Dishes made in olive oil, retain the feeling of fullness for a longer time, besides reducing the risk of heart disease.

Cinnamon - It has been revealed in many reports that this flavoring spice is also beneficial in reducing blood sugar levels. According to research, people suffering from type 2 diabetes can see a remarkable improvement in desired blood sugar levels if they use a small quantity of cinnamon in their daily intake. Apart from this, it also helps in maintaining cholesterol levels.

Almonds - The magnesium present in almonds helps the body to use insulin effectively.

Fish - Omega 3 fatty acid found in fish reduces the amount of blood glucose level in our body. Apart from this, it is also a good source of protein.

Other Foods - The use of fenugreek, fennel, ginger, egg, green tea, apple, almond, turmeric, oatmeal, and fish in their daily consumption is a great option for diabetic patients. Ginger is also helpful in controlling the amount of blood sugar in the blood.
