Gujarat recorded 1120 new cases during the last 24 hours. The recovery rate has improved to 91.29 percent. Total 1 lakh 84 thousand 844 cases recorded in the state till now.

Gujarat recorded 1120 new cases during the last 24 hours. The recovery rate has improved to 91.29 percent. Total 1 lakh 84 thousand 844 cases recorded in the state till now.

Out of these, 1 lakh 68 thousand 858 patients have recovered. 1038 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. More than 66 lakh 80 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date.

Maximum of 199 new cases reported from Ahmedabad, while Surat recorded 183 new cases.
 

At present total active cases in the state are 12321, out of which 69 patients are on a ventilator. 6 patients died yesterday taking the total deaths due to Covid19 up to 3785.  AIR correspondent reports, Amdavad Municipal Corporation appealed to the citizens not to go for a free Coronavirus test unnecessarily.

In a press release, AMC said that only those in need should go for the Coronavirus test. It is found that a lot of citizens are queuing up at AMC facilities for free Coronavirus tests only for curiosity. This causes problems for those who are actually in need of getting tested.
 

AMC has also started using indelible ink in order to identify those who have already undergone Coronavirus tests. Meanwhile, AMC has clarified that as per the guideline issued by ICMR, only antigen and RTPCR tests are authorized to test COVID19 infection. It also warned private doctors and physicians against the other types of tests to avoid the RTPCR test.
