The patient is a 76-year-old from the United States who have a travel history to India. He had come to Bhutan on March 2 from Guwahati, Prime Minister Lotay Tshering office affirmed in an announcement.

The patient has been confined to the COVID-19 emergency clinic. He is kept on oxygen support thinking about his age and basic conditions.

The patient was going with his accomplice, adult 59 alongside and 10 other travelers, of which eight others were Indian nationals.
