Veganuary India launches a special two-week campaign to make festive dining joyful, nourishing, and compassionate.

New Delhi, 23 September, 2025: Veganuary India is running a special Navratri Campaign from 15-28 September 2025, encouraging families across India to celebrate and host their guests with vegan versions of festive dishes.

Veganuary is also joined by restaurateurs and brands such as Earth Based Store, Bombay Gourmet, and Green Meat, among others, to bring Savor the Spirit of Navratri with Vegan Flavors” to life. The festive specials, curated menus, and vegan product highlights from the campaign will make it easier for people to experience the joy of mindful eating outside their homes as well.

The campaign aims to show how easy and joyful it is to veganize traditional Navratri meals from lunches and dinners to snacks and sweets while ensuring that those who are fasting do not miss out on essential nutrients. Through simple recipes and hosting tips, Veganuary is making festive dining both inclusive and nutritious.

As part of the campaign, Veganuary will share easy-to-follow vegan recipes for popular Navratri favourites. Imagine savouring kuttu ki puri with aloo sabzi, sabudana khichdi, or sweet potato chaat, all made with plant-based twists. For those with a sweet tooth, vegan kheer and coconut laddoos will prove that festive indulgence needs no compromise. Alongside recipes, simple hosting tips will help families’ welcome guests with dishes that are both traditional and compassionate.

“Food brings people together, and festivals like Navratri are the perfect time to explore how compassionate choices can also be delicious and nourishing,” said Mr. Prashanth Vishwanath, Country Director, Veganuary India. “By veganizing festive meals, we are showing that traditions can be celebrated to the fullest while also caring for animals, our health, and the planet.”

Navratri is a time of devotion, celebration, and togetherness, and food lies at the heart of these festivities. Many people observing fasts worry about missing out on vital nutrition, particularly protein. With this campaign, Veganuary highlights how plant-based ingredients such as legumes, nuts, seeds, and millets can power traditional recipes and enrich the festive table. The goal is to make vegan cooking feel approachable and celebratory, not restrictive.

The Navratri Campaign reflects Veganuary’s mission to support people in discovering the joys of plant-based eating. By creating awareness and offering practical tools, the campaign encourages households to embrace small changes that carry a big impact on personal well-being, the environment, and festive inclusivity.

This Navratri, Veganuary invites everyone to experiment with vegan versions of traditional dishes and experience how plant-based food can add even more warmth, flavour, and meaning to the celebrations.
