World Thyroid Day is an annual awareness day that was established in the year 2008 during the congress session of the European Thyroid Association (ETA). The International Thyroid Awareness Week is observed from May 25 th to May 31st to promote awareness and educate people about the understanding of thyroid conditions and challenges faced by thyroid patients.
Regular screening is a must for thyroid patients
Many people suffer from thyroid but most of them remain unaware of it. It is important to check to get regular screening done to exclude the problem of thyroid disorders. Another valid reason for the undiagnosed cases of the thyroid is this asymptomatic. Many thyroid patients have no symptoms for a long time.
