The connection between COVID vaccination and diet

Karishma Shah informs, “COVID vaccination is the next upcoming buzzword after immunity and they go both hands in hand. There is a very strong combination of immunity parameters with vaccination. Many people who have vaccinated with one dose or both the dose may complain about :

Fever  Weakness

This is because of the antibodies reaction after vaccination. This is the response after vaccination which may lead to fever and weakness. This is considered a normal reaction of the antibodies to vaccination. This lasts for 1 - 2 days and you will be back to normalcy. You need to take care of the diet during vaccination. Vaccination may cause some impact on the immunity levels. This means you need to take care of your diet. Due to the monsoon season and the vaccinations happening, many people may have-

Sore throat Irritation in throat  Cough and cold  Urinary tract infection

You can support this with a diet.

Follow these steps before and after vaccination

Karishma says,” Follow these steps 2 days before and after vaccination-

Do not drink alcohol Avoid heavy meals  Eat anti-inflammatory food to fight the antibodies  Do not consume acidic foods  Avoid high-fat foods like cheese, butter and fried foods, pizza pasta  Avoid high-fat content milk  Eat digestible food like dal khichdi Eat simple homemade foods  Seasonal Fruits for immunity like cherries, plums, papaya   Drink Haldi milk with cardamom and nutmeg powder  Coconut milk

Food for allergies like flu

Karishma states, “Flu occurs due to allergy reaction in monsoon and cold season. It is not possible to get entire relief from allergy as every immune system is different. Many people are allergic to the following food-

The protein in eggs  Seafood  Gluten products like wheat, bread, maida  Dairy products with lactose intolerance

Elimination of these foods will help in relief from allergy.”

Foods for COVID vaccination

Karishma informs,” If you have suffered from COVID or recovering from COVID, consume these foods which can help-

Beans and pulses like chose, rajma, chawli, matki, moong, and lentils

Sprouts: This is the season to eat pulses as the green vegetables are not of good quality this season.”

Boost mental health with meditation this COVID season

Karishma says, “To have a balanced condition of mind and body, follow this two steps-

Practice meditation

Some people find it difficult to meditate. The main idea of meditation is to introspect and connect with the soul. The trick is to align with those thoughts instead of fighting with your thoughts. Say” ok “ to your thoughts. These thoughts vanish during meditation. Then you will reach this theta stage where you are relaxed which is magical. Meditation is not about not making your brain work. The idea is to keep the activity going and transform from the outer world. Every “kriya” or work we do is connected with the outer world. So meditate and connect with yourself and step into the inner world. When our inner world is strong, your outer world is very much stronger.”
