The total number of confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus cases in India have reached 114, with Maharashtra, Karnataka each confirming one fresh case and Kerala reporting two new cases after the latest official update of 110 by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on late night of 15 March. So far, India has recorded two corona virus deaths – one in Karnataka and the other in Delhi. Maharashtra tops the list with 33 confirmed positive cases. Kerala, which is the second top state in the list, has 21 positive active cases.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a video conference with all SAARC countries at 5 pm today, proposed an emergency fund to combat the coronavirus pandemic in the Indian sub-continent.Meanwhile first Air India flight from Milan with 218 Indians has arrived in Delhi airport. They are being quarantined for 14 days at Indo-Tibetan Border Police’s camp in Chhawla area of Delhi. Out of the 218 people, 211 are students.Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar said that 234 Indians in Iran have been evacuated and arrived in India. This includes 131 students and 103 pilgrims.
