Over 29 crore 40 lakh Covid vaccines doses administered in country so far

India vaccination drive latest numbers

In another significant achievement, India’s cumulative COVID Vaccination Coverage has crossed 29.40 crore mark. So far a total of 29 crore 40 lakh 42 thousand 822 doses of Covid vaccines have been administered to the beneficiaries.

Union Health Ministry in a statement said that as the new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st of June, more than 51 lakh Vaccine Doses administered yesterday, as per the 7 PM provisional report.

The Ministry said, more than 32 lakh 81 thousand vaccine doses were administered as first dose and over 71 thousand vaccine doses given as second dose in the age group 18 to 44 years yesterday. It said, Cumulatively, over 6 crore 55 lakh persons across 37 States and Union Territories have received their first dose while over 14 lakh 24 thousand received their second dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive.

Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group of 18 to 44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine.
