Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has said that vaccination will be conducted through 358 centres. Of these, the highest 50 centres are in Mumbai followed by 39 in Pune and 29 in Thane. AIR correspondent reports, about 8 lakh health workers have been registered in Maharashtra for Covid vaccination and they will be vaccinated in the first phase.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that about 35,000 health workers will be vaccinated on the first day through 358 centres in the state.
He has also informed that the Covid-19 vaccines supplied by the centre are being distributed to all districts as per their instructions. According to the Health Minister, 9,63,000 vaccines have been distributed in all the districts of the state.
Meantime, in Maharashtra, 3,556 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, taking the cumulative total to 19,78,044. On the other hand, 3,009 patients were discharged yesterday taking the tally of recovered patients to 18,74,279.
