Telangana State has recorded the daily new COVID -19 cases for the first time in the recent past below thousand. The state reported 948 new cases during the past 24 hours. With this, the total COVID cases in the state go up 2,2,059. The state conducted over 26,000 tests yesterday.

The recovery rate also slightly improved to 89.96 per cent with 1,896 more people recovering yesterday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to 2, 00,686.

Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the state Medical and Health department this morning, stated that total deaths rose to 1,275 following 4 more people succumbed to COVID and comorbidities during the past 24 hours. Currently, the state has little over 21,000 active cases out of which about 17,000 are in home isolation.

It was reported that 212 new Covid-19 cases reported in Hyderabad while Ranga Reddy district reported 98 fresh cases while other intense COVID districts like Medchal Malkajgiri, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Sangareddi, Siddipet and Warangal Urban districts reported between 50-60 cases during the past 24 hours. About ten districts out of 33 districts of the state reported new cases in single digit.
