Aakash Healthcare Super Specialty Hospital, in collaboration with Medtronic, has launched the Aakash Vein Clinic, North India’s first dedicated center for comprehensive vein care. This specialized clinic will provide advanced, minimally invasive treatments for vein-related conditions, enabling faster recovery and better long-term outcomes for patients.

The grand inauguration at Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka was a momentous occasion bringing together leading doctors, healthcare professionals, and industry experts. The event featured a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by insightful discussions on the increasing need for specialized vein treatments and how Medtronic’s cutting-edge technology is revolutionizing vascular care in India.

Dr. Meinal Chaudhry, Director of Radiodiagnosis & Interventional Radiology at Aakash Healthcare, emphasized that varicose veins are often seen as a mere cosmetic concern, but they can actually lead to chronic pain, swelling, skin changes, and severe complications if not treated properly. Many individuals endure years of frustration, hopping from one doctor to another, experiencing only temporary relief without a permanent solution. At Aakash Hospital's specialized Vein Clinic, we tackle this issue with a comprehensive approach to vein care. Our process begins with accurate diagnosis through advanced imaging, followed by tailored treatment plans that incorporate lifestyle changes, physiotherapy, and cutting-edge minimally invasive procedures like radiofrequency ablation and glue embolization. By offering a one-stop solution for varicose vein management within a tertiary care setting, we ensure our patients receive timely, effective, and holistic care that not only addresses the condition but also improves overall vascular health. Our goal is to restore comfort and mobility to our patients, empowering them to live free from the constraints of venous disease.”

Dr. Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director of Aakash Healthcare, shared his vision for the initiative. “Our goal with the Aakash Vein Clinic is to provide a dedicated center where patients receive comprehensive vein care, from diagnosis to advanced treatment, all under one roof. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering world-class healthcare solutions.”

Dr. Abhishek Bansal, Senior Consultant and Chief of Interventional Radiology, discussed the latest advancements in vein treatments and the growing demand for expert care.

"The collaboration of Medtronic with Aakash hospital is a testament to our commitment to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes. By providing cutting-edge solutions and innovative treatments, we aim to empower physicians and enhance the quality of care & provide the right guidance for patients with varicose veins. Our mission remains steadfast: to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life through continuous innovation and dedication to excellence," said Prateek Tiwari, Senior Director, Neuroscience & Specialty therapies, Medtronic India.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Aakash Healthcare and Medtronic, further strengthening their partnership to deliver state-of-the-art vascular treatments.

Vein-related issues, such as varicose veins and deep vein thrombosis, affect a significant percentage of the population but are often left untreated until complications arise. A study in North India found that 46.7% of women and 27.8% of men suffer from varicose veins, yet many delay treatment due to lack of awareness or access to specialized care.

The Aakash Vein Clinic aims to change this by offering a one-stop solution for vein-related problems. Patients will receive expert consultations, advanced imaging diagnostics, and minimally invasive treatments under one roof. The clinic also provides guidance on lifestyle changes and preventive measures to help patients manage symptoms and maintain better vein health.

With its highly skilled team and world-class technology, the Aakash Vein Clinic is set to redefine vein care in India, ensuring that patients no longer have to struggle with untreated vein disorders.

This clinic is not just about treatment—it’s about helping people live healthier, pain-free lives.
