Aakash Healthcare Supports the 14th Special Athletic Meet for Children with Special Needs

Empowering Children with Special Abilities to Shine Through Sport and Creativity

New Delhi, December 11, 2024

Aakash Healthcare was honored to be the official Health Care Partner for the 14th Special Athletic Meet for persons with special needs, organized by the Handicapped Children's Parents Association (HCPA)  and Sneh Kunj Home for Spastics.

The event, held on December 9th saw over 500 children with special abilities participating in a series of activities, including track and field events.

The day began with a Flag Hoisting ceremony, the Olympic Torch Relay, and an Oath Taking session, setting the stage for an exciting and inspiring event. The children demonstrated their remarkable talents, with awards presented to outstanding participants.

Dr. Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director of Aakash Healthcare Super Specialty Hospital, Dwarka, expressed his gratitude, "We were honored to play a part in making this event a success. It was inspiring to witness the dedication and energy of all the participants. We’re committed to supporting such inclusive events that encourage children with special needs to showcase their abilities."

Aakash Healthcare has been a dedicated health partner for Sneh Kunj and HCPA for the last two years. In addition to providing essential medical support throughout the day, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, Aakash Healthcare also contributed significantly to the event's success. The healthcare team was present to offer medical assistance, allowing the children to participate confidently and enthusiastically.

Aakash Healthcare also made a special contribution by providing 450 breakfast packets for the children and donating 35 blankets to the Angels of Sneh Kunj. Dr. Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director of Aakash Healthcare, attended the event as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his team. During his speech, Dr. Chaudhry assured HCPA President Shri K.N. Singh that Aakash Healthcare would continue to support the welfare of children at Sneh Kunj and stand by their side in the future.

Aakash Healthcare remains dedicated to supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity, health, and community well-being, and keeps conducting health camps with them to further these efforts.

The 14th Special Athletic Meet was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion, and it highlighted the incredible abilities of children with special needs.
