Upgraded facilities, enhanced comfort, and patient-centric amenities aim to provide world-class inpatient care.

Banjara Hill, 10th March: Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), Banjara Hills, has revamped its Inpatient (IP) Block to significantly enhance patient comfort, convenience, and overall hospital experience. The upgraded IP block reflects AINU’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare in a patient-friendly environment. The upgraded facility was inaugurated by V. C. Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police.
The facility has been strengthened with several advanced and dedicated services aimed at enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes. It now houses a Uro-Oncology Chemotherapy Unit to provide specialised treatment and comprehensive care for patients undergoing chemotherapy for urological cancers. The centre also features a dedicated Urodynamic Study (UDS) and advanced Video UDS facility for accurate diagnosis and evaluation of complex bladder and urinary disorders. In addition, a dedicated 8-bed Urology Daycare Unit has been established to support same-day procedures and short-stay treatments, ensuring greater convenience and comfort for patients.
The hospital is also equipped with high-end acute kidney care facilities to manage critical kidney conditions with timely intervention, while its Interventional Nephrology services enable minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of various kidney-related disorders. Together, these facilities significantly strengthen the institution’s capability to deliver comprehensive and advanced urological and nephrological care.
Chief Guest V. C. Sajjanar, IPS Commissioner of Police said, ““Healthcare infrastructure plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our citizens. The revamping of the IP block at AINU Banjara Hills reflects the institution’s commitment to enhancing patient comfort, safety, and access to advanced urological care. Such initiatives not only strengthen the quality of healthcare services available in the city but also set new benchmarks in patient-centric hospital design and treatment facilities. I commend the AINU team for continuously striving to improve medical services and for their dedication to delivering world-class care to patients.”
Dr. Mallikarjuna C, Managing Director, Chief Consultant Urologist & Robotic Surgeon, AINU Banjara Hills said, “Our high-end, well-equipped Acute Kidney Care unit is designed to provide timely and advanced care for patients with critical kidney conditions. With the integration of Interventional Nephrology, we are able to offer minimally invasive procedures that ensure faster diagnosis, precise treatment, and improved patient outcomes. This comprehensive approach allows us to manage complex kidney disorders more effectively while enhancing patient safety and recovery."

Speaking on the revamp, Dr. Purna Chandra Reddy, Executive Director & Chief Consultant Urologist, Uro-Oncologist, AINU said, “With the introduction of our dedicated Uro-oncology Chemotherapy Unit, Video Urodynamic Study (Video UDS) facility, and an exclusive 8-bed Urology Daycare Unit, we are further strengthening our ability to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric urological care. We have dornier lithotripter for ESWL which is a medical device used to treat kidney stones without surgery. These advanced facilities enable us to provide precise diagnosis, seamless treatment, and safe day-care procedures for patients with complex urological conditions. Our goal is to ensure that patients receive specialized care under one roof with the highest standards of safety, comfort, and clinical excellence,”
The revamp also focuses on better space utilization, improved accessibility, and a calming ambience that contributes positively to the healing process. With these upgrades, AINU further strengthens its position as one of the leading centres for advanced urology and nephrology care in the region. Located in the heart of Hyderabad, AINU Banjara Hills continues to invest in infrastructure and technology to provide comprehensive and patient-centric healthcare services.
