Ayush kadha which was prescribed as potential defense against Coronavirus will be promoted at all UP government offices

In the coming days, if you visit a government  office, you will not be welcomed with tea and biscuits, but you will get to drink an aromatic decoction. Not only this, the cup of tea will also be filled with decoction in government meetings. The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh is preparing a plan to promote the consumption of decoction to increase immunity in people from corona infection. After getting instructions from the Chief Minister, the Ayush Department of UP has prepared a special  decoction (Kadha) which would be promoted at all government offices.

Mission Director of AYUSH Mission Rajkamal Yadav and Manager Arvind Sharma had planned to make special decoction from doctors of Ayurveda College of UP to increase immunity against Coronavirus infection. After much research, the doctors have prepared the powder of decoction by mixing the powder of basil, cinnamon, black pepper, dry ginger, gilo and dry grape with ayurvedic properties present nearby. Arvind Sharma, manager of AYUSH mission, says, “The work of making powder of decoction started in Lucknow's Government Ayurvedic Medicine Workshop from May 6. In the first phase, more than 25 quintal powder will be prepared in this workshop. So far, about ten quintal decoction has been made here. It will be sent in a pack of fifty grams to be distributed among the common people. ”

At the same time, this decoction is also being used for patients suspected of Kovid living in home quarantine. These patients are given decoction in the morning and evening. The government is also planning to increase the use of this decoction among the common people, in which it is also being considered to be distributed from the hospitals of Ayush.

Meanwhile, in May, 98 people were quarantined at Bhopal's Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology (RGPV) hostels. All of them came in direct contact with the infected. Eight of these were found to be infected when Corona was examined. The remaining 90 people were given Ayurvedic decoction from May 13 to May 22. Ayurveda expert Dr. Shashank Jha, who was involved in the trial, said that not a single positive came out of the 90 people who consumed the decoction.

Dr. Umesh Shukla, Principal of Pandit Khushi Lal Sharma Government Ayurveda College, Bhopal said that so far 970 people have been given this medicine in quarantine centers. These were all people who had come in direct contact with the infected person and were in high risk. During the investigation of Corona, 831 people survived from getting infected. Similarly, this medicine was given to 981 patients admitted to hospitals. Of these, 952 have become healthy. There are many who became negative within 10 days of coming positive.

Medical college doctors and nurses are also drinking decoction

Gandhi Health College, Bhopal's Corona Ward, along with others engaged in sampling and treatment of Corona patients, are drinking this decoction to increase immunity by 200 health workers. He has also given written consent to the Ayush Department for this. Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. AK Srivastava said that this medicine is being taken so that immunity is good.

Will register with CTRI

Dr. Umesh Shukla, Principal of Pt. Khushi Lal Sharma Ayurveda College, Bhopal said that approval has been received from the State Government for the trial. Approval has also been given in the meeting of the Ethical Committee of the college. This committee also consists of experts from the medical college.
