In Chhattisgarh, preparations have begun for vaccination against COVID-19. Data of about 98 percent of the health workers of the state has already been collected for administering vaccines to them on priority.
 

In Chhattisgarh, about two thousand eight hundred places and more than eight thousand vaccinators have been identified for COVID vaccination. According to the officials of the Health Department, six hundred and thirty cold chain points are already functioning in the state.

 
In addition, eighty new cold chain points are being established. There is an additional capacity of 85 thousand liters for safekeeping of the vaccine. Health workers are also being trained to increase the number of vaccinators.
 
Apart from this, dry stores have also been identified at the district level to store syringes and other materials required for vaccination.

For overall monitoring and coordination of the vaccination process, a State Level Steering Committee has been formed.
