In Chhattisgarh, eight districts will be under total lockdown as the respective district administrations have issued orders in view of the spike in CoVID-19 infection.
Lockdown is already effective in the state capital district of Raipur and the neighbouring Durg district. It was reported that lockdown will begin in Rajnandgaon, Bemetra and Balod districts from this evening. Jashpur, Koriya and Balodabazar districts will be under lockdown from Sunday.
Passengers coming to Chhattisgarh by air travel will now have to bring a negative report of the RT-PCR test with them. This test must be done within 72 hours before arriving at the airport. Those passengers who do not have the RT-PCR test report of the scheduled time period will have to undergo COVID test at the airport.
The Chhattisgarh Government is establishing RT-PCR test facilities at all airports and railway stations in the state. Meanwhile, the Raipur district administration has decided to convert the Indoor Stadium of the capital into a temporary Covid Centre.
Beds with an Oxygen facility will be made available in this stadium. It has also been decided that in the district now only a maximum of ten persons will be allowed to attend marriage ceremony or funerals.
