Rajasthan government has decided to provide life-saving injection Tocilizumab and plasma therapy to serious corona patients in the state. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot directed plasma therapy in the treatment of corona and to organize plasma donation camps across the state.
The number of active patients in the state has reached above 10000 today. More than 1100 people are being tested positive in the state daily for the last three days. 631 people have died due to infection so far. 448 cases have been reported this morning while 631 people have been recovered.
Hundreds of workers have been found infected in the Bhiwadi industrial area of Alwar district, after which additional medical teams have been deployed there. Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pali, Barmer, Kota and Bharatpur districts are most affected due to the infection. However, the state government has also increased the testing and more than 25 thousand samples are being tested every day. A total of more than 14 lakh samples have been tested so far in the state as reported by Jitendra Dwivedi, All India Radio, Jaipur.
In the other news update, Gujarat has recorded 1,110 new Corona cases during the past 24 hours. Total cases in the state have gone up to 55,822. Official sources said 21 patients lost their lives yesterday taking the death toll due to Covid19 in the state to 2,326. The recovery rate in the state has improved to 72.31%.
Out of 1110 new cases, maximum 201 cases have been reported from Surat city. Ahmedabad city recorded 152 new cases. Out of 13131 active cases in the state, the conditions of 85 patients are serious. 753 patients have been discharged after recovery during the last 24 hours. With this, the total patients recovered from the Covid-19 have gone up to 40365. Meanwhile, the state has increased the number of daily tests. 21708 tests have been carried out in the state during the last 24 hours. More than 642000 tests have been carried out in the state till date. Recently, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has added 16 new areas in micro containment zones. Door to door surveillance and testing drives will begin in these areas from today.
