Most of pharmaceutical products are temperature sensitive. The vaccines, medicines, and samples become ineffective if the optimum temperature recommended by the manufacturer is NOT maintained. This can increase overheads, care delays, and operational inefficiencies. ActiPod, a patented product developed by ZedBlox is the perfect solution for these issues. Actipod is a smart portable battery-powered carrier that requires no cold packs or freezing infrastructure and can accurately maintain the desired temperature during transit. ActiPod is NABL-certified and has received ISO 13485 medical device certification.
ZedBlox will use this new funding to scale up the company's operations and expansion within India to address the issues regarding the storage and transportation of sensitive healthcare products. The Hyderabad-based company has been recognized by SiliconIndia magazine as among the " Top 10 Refrigeration Transport Service Companies".
ZedBlox is co-founded by Rao Korupolu, a Computer Science Master's Graduate from the University of Arizona, and has three patents to his name. Co-founder and CTO Viraaj Somayajula is an Electronics and Communication Engineer from IIT Roorkee. The innovative technology of ZedBlox has been incubated in CCMB-AIC, a premier research institute of Govt. of India, under the expert guidance of Dr. N Madhusudana Rao and Dr. Ramjee Pallela and received its patent in July 2022.
