Telangana reports 862 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours. With this the total COVID cases reported in the state has gone up to 2,66,904. Over 41,000 tests were conducted yesterday. The recovery rate slightly improved to 95.41 per cent with 961 more people recovering yesterday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to 2,54,676. Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the state Medical and Health department this morning stated that total 1,444 deaths reported so far following 3 more people succumbed to COVID and comorbidities during the past 24 hours.
Currently the state has over 10,000 active cases out of which over 8,000 are in home isolation. Meanwhile, 164 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Hyderabad during the past 24 hours while Medchal Malkajgiri, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Rangareddy, Karimnagar and Nalgonda districts are among those which reported a considerably high number of COVID-19 cases during the same time.
Kerala continues to report a surge in Covid 19 cases, as 6,491 new cases were confirmed yesterday. 5,770 recoveries were also reported. Presently, the total number of active Covid cases in Kerala is 65,106. Meanwhile, 26 recent deaths were also confirmed due to Covid, taking the death toll in the State to 2121.
In Tamilnadu, the Covid-19 active caseload has dropped to 11,875. The number of new patients has come down marginally to 1,557 including 469 in Chennai. 1910 patients have recovered from the illness in the last 24-hours while 17 others succumbed to it. More than 66,000 people were tested yesterday using RT-PCR kits.
