Maternal and women healthcare venture, Diana Health, raised $11 million in their Series A funding round led by LRVHealth and .406 Ventures. Existing investor AlleyCorp also invested in the round. The deal also makes Payal Divakaran or (.406 Ventures) and Ellen Herlacher (of LRVHealth) join Diana Health’s Board of Directors.
Diana Health works with one of the largest hospital systems in the U.S, TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center (part of HCA Healthcare). They bring a tech-led and personalised care experience for labour and delivery.
Diana Health along with TriStar will launch their first end-to-end maternal care programme in the upcoming weeks. With the funds, they plan to launch their first location in Middle Tennessee this year. They also plan to expand their technology platform.
This New York City startup with Nashville was started by Kate Condliffe and Jim Corum to help 60,000 USA women suffering from severe maternal morbidity, especially for women of colour. The traditional way of handling labour has certain restrictions that Diana Health aims to eradicate.
“The care we receive as women, particularly during pregnancy and birth, has the potential to impact population health across generations while building lifelong connections between a family and their healthcare provider,” says CEO and Cofounder Kate Condliffe.
