New Delhi, 25 June 2026: India’s largest eye care provider, Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, has launched its new hospital in the National Capital Region, Shahdara, East Delhi. In line with the Group’s ongoing expansion across Delhi NCR, this marks the eighth hospital in the region, reinforcing its commitment to bringing specialised, high-quality ophthalmic care closer to patients’ communities. Strategically located in a key healthcare hub of East Delhi, the Shahdara centre is designed to address the rising demand for specialised eye care services in the region. The facility enables early diagnosis, timely intervention, and continuity of care across a wide range of eye conditions.
The centre offers end-to-end ophthalmic services including cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea and external eye diseases, refractive errors, paediatric ophthalmology, oculoplasty, and general eye care. It also provides preventive eye screenings, optical services, pharmacy support, counselling, and structured follow-up care. Dr. J. S. Titiyal, Medical Director – New Delhi, plays a key role in nurturing a strong pool of clinical talent within the Group, helping ensure consistent delivery of high-end, specialised eye care supported by structured training, clinical guidance, and robust protocols.
The 6400 sq.ft carpet area, two floored facility is equipped with advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and treatment technologies, including high-resolution Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), digital fundus imaging systems, visual field analysers, advanced cataract and glaucoma assessment platforms, and anterior segment imaging systems, supporting accurate diagnosis and comprehensive management of a broad spectrum of eye conditions. It also houses a dedicated modular operation theatre with an integrated viewing gallery, designed to enable precise surgical procedures while maintaining stringent infection control standards.
Dr. Ashar Agarwal, Chief Business Officer, said “The Shahdara centre reflects our continued commitment to expanding access to specialised eye care across Delhi NCR. The growing demand for integrated eye care services requires facilities that seamlessly combine advanced technology with strong clinical expertise. Our expansion in the NCR is aligned with this need, helping bridge gaps in access across the region. We remain focused on building centres that bring together advanced diagnostics, specialist-led care, and patient convenience in a unified care environment.”
Dr. Jeewan Singh Titiyal, Medical Director - New Delhi, observed “Early diagnosis and timely intervention remain critical for preserving vision and improving long-term outcomes. The Shahdara centre has been developed to address these evolving needs through comprehensive screening, specialist consultations, advanced diagnostics, and evidence-based treatment pathways that support patients across every stage of their eye care journey.”
