Dr Col R Ranga Rao joins Paras Cancer Centre

Dr. (Col) R. Ranga Rao, VSM, one of the top medical oncologists with specialty in lung, breast, ovarian, cervical cancer, has joined the Paras Hospitals, Gurugram as the Chairman, Paras Cancer Centre, with effect from Dec 9, 2019.

Dr. Rao has an experience of more than 30 years in the field of Medical Oncology and has treated over 2 Lakh patients across the globe. Prior joining to Paras Hospitals, Gurugram, he was worked with many premier institutes; Max Super Specialty Hospital, BLK Super specialty hospital, Artemis Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, R& R Hospital to list a few. His areas of specialty are Lung Cancer, Pleura, Breast, Ovarian, Cervical, Esophagus, Stomach, Small Intestine, Colon, Rectum, Liver, Gall Bladder, Pancreas, Sarcomas, Melanomas, Lymphomas of all types, Brain Tumors, Kidney, Urinary Bladder, Prostrate, Head and Neck Cancer.

His skill lies in Chemotherapy, targeted therapy, Hormonal therapy, Immunotherapy, Supportive and Palliative Care and Precision Cancer care. Also, he is an active member of American Society of Clinical Oncology ( ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO) among others.

Dr. Rao completed his DM (Medical Oncology) from Dr .Muthulaxmi College of Oncological Sciences, Cancer Institute, Adayar, Chennai. He perused MD (Internal Medicine) from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra and MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer.
