National, May 12, 2026: Even Hospital, a Bengaluru-based multi-speciality hospital, has collaborated with surgical-tech firm Canara Surgicals to introduce the latter’s laser technology-based medical devices facilitating minimally invasive surgeries. As a part of this long-term collaboration toward surgical equipment supply and deployment, Canara Surgicals has deployed its medical-grade Angelas diode laser, calibrated at 1470 nm wavelength, at Even Hospital’s state-of-the-art facility located on Race Course Road, Bengaluru.

The cutting-edge laser-tech device – which shall be used across multiple specialties/departments of Even Hospital, including vascular, interventional radiology, proctology, ENT,  cosmetic, and gynaecology – enables a range of procedures such as endovenous ablation of varicose veins, haemorrhoidectomy (for treating piles), percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) for spinal conditions, among other microsurgeries.

Speaking on the collaboration, Animesh Roy, CEO, Even Hospital, said, “At Even Hospital, we believe healthcare should be proactive, precise, and squarely centered around patient outcomes. Our collaboration with Canara Surgicals reflects a shared commitment to bringing advanced medical technologies that improve recovery, reduce complications, and make high-quality care more accessible. By integrating laser-enabled minimally invasive procedures across specialties, we are able to offer patients treatments that are not only clinically effective, but also far less disruptive to their everyday lives enabling faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, and a significantly better overall care experience.”

Unlike traditional surgical methods that involved large incisions and longer recovery periods, modern procedures powered by laser technology and fibre-optics allow today’s surgeons to operate with greater precision and minimal tissue disruption. Laser-tech based minimally invasive surgeries are proven to not only reduce bleeding and post-operative pain, but also to minimize chances of recurrence. Numerous clinical studies from the past decade have highlighted the safety and efficacy of laser diodes’ usage in clinical settings, using which, many microsurgeries can nowadays be completed nearly in half the time as compared to conventional surgeries. Additionally, these new-age procedures allow same-day or next-day discharge from the hospital, enabling patients to heal faster and return to their normal daily routine within only a few days, instead of taking weeks to fully recover.

“Our focus has always been on enabling better clinical outcomes with the right technology. Canara Surgicals’ latest partnership with Even Hospital marks another pivotal step in that direction, reflecting our shared vision of fast-tracking and improving patient outcomes and elevating care, while parallely reducing the emotional and financial burden associated with surgeries and long hospital stays. It also represents a remarkable evolution in care delivery – wherein Canara Surgicals’ advanced laser technology devices play a critical role in supporting better, more efficient healthcare via minimally invasive procedures,” added Shreyas S. Naik, Director, Canara Surgicals.

Even Hospital is a multi-speciality hospital focused on delivering high-quality, coordinated care powered by technology, clinical excellence, and strong patient outcomes. Founded in 2023 with an ambition to provide sophisticated, cutting-edge tools and technologies for bettering surgical outcomes and heightening patient satisfaction, Canara Surgicals deeply resonates with Even Hospital’s philosophy of reducing unnecessary hospitalizations. With quality, innovation and reliability as key differentiators, Canara Surgicals – which has obtained approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) for supplying its medical equipment across India – has been working closely with several reputed hospital chains of the country.

Canara Surgicals is present pan-India through its growing distributors network; although most of its equipment deployments are currently happening in tier-1 and tier-2 cities. Going ahead, they are exploring a pay-per-use model to aid adoption by healthcare providers in smaller towns, and democratize access to advanced surgical technologies. As Even Hospital continues to grow and expand footprints across Bengaluru and other parts of India, Canara Surgicals is looking to grow actively alongside, while extending its products and services stack to new locations, and together setting new benchmarks in surgical-tech excellence.
