Pune, 15th January 2025—Fleetguard Filters Private Limited, a leading manufacturer of filtration products and solutions for various on- and off-highway applications, extends support for a mega plantation drive with the Forest Department and Being Volunteer Foundation (Non-Governmental Organization).
2000 saplings were planted at Biodiversity Park in Tamhanwadi, Daund Pune on 15th January 2025 Wednesday. Over 42 FFPL employees, some Being Volunteer Foundation volunteers, officials from the Forest department, and people from the local community participated in planting the saplings.
FFPL via the NGO and gram panchayat will be contributing to maintaining the biodiversity park for a tenure of three years. This project commenced in November 2024, where initially the ground was being prepared for plantation in January 2025.
This biodiversity park being created on Forest land envisages increasing the biodiversity richness in the area. Where the local community would enjoy the benefits of regional plants and birds being home to their habitat.
“In view of the growing concerns of climate change, this is a humble endeavor from FFPL to contribute positively to reducing the same”, said Niranjan Kirloskar, Managing Director Fleetguard Filters Private Limited after the event.
