Bengaluru: Forus Health, a leading health technology company focused on transforming eye care through innovation, has announced the launch of FH Eyepal, a portable Digital Eye Clinic that enables healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive eye examinations beyond conventional hospital settings.

Developed to make quality eye care more accessible, FH eyepal transforms virtually any location into a fully equipped eye screening clinic within minutes. Designed as a compact, portable solution, it can be deployed across primary healthcare centres, community health programmes, corporate wellness initiatives, vision camps, and home based care, bringing quality eye care closer to the people who need it.

FH eyepal delivers a seamless digital clinical workflow from the patient's first vision assessment through to spectacle prescription. The solution integrates handheld vision screening, objective refraction using a handheld autorefractometer, subjective refraction through a digital wearable refractor and high quality retinal imaging using a handheld fundus camera. This enables healthcare providers to perform comprehensive eye examinations using a single, integrated platform.

At the heart of FH eyepal is Forus Health's Digital Health Platform, which creates a unified digital patient record while managing the complete connected workflow from refraction to spectacle delivery through the Telecare portal. The devices are seamlessly integrated through Bluetooth, ensuring uninterrupted workflow even in locations with inconsistent internet connectivity.

Powered by FH POISE, Forus Health's proprietary artificial intelligence platform, retinal images are analysed instantly to identify potential abnormalities and support timely clinical decision making. By combining intelligent diagnostics with a connected digital workflow, FH eyepal helps improve screening efficiency, enables early detection of eye conditions and supports better continuity of care.

Designed for flexible deployment across diverse healthcare settings, FH eyepal empowers healthcare providers to expand screening programmes, improve operational efficiency and deliver specialist-quality eye care to every community without the need for permanent clinical infrastructure.

Speaking on the launch, K. Chandrasekhar, Co Founder and CEO, Forus Health, said,

"From the day Forus Health was founded, our vision has been to make quality eye care accessible to every individual, regardless of where they live. We have always believed that comprehensive eye care should never be limited by geography, infrastructure or affordability.

Built on nearly a decade of experience in developing and deploying innovative ophthalmic technologies across multiple countries, FH eyepal – The Digital Eye Clinic represents the next step in that journey.

FH eyepal is far more than a collection of advanced imaging devices. It is a fully integrated digital eye care ecosystem that enables a complete eye clinic to be established virtually anywhere within minutes. By bringing together diagnostics, workflow, connectivity and clinical decision support on a single platform, we have removed many of the traditional barriers associated with setting up a conventional eye clinic.

Our vision is to partner with eye hospitals, healthcare institutions and governments to extend quality eye care beyond hospital walls and bring it closer to every home and community. We believe access to quality eye care should not depend on where a person lives, but on the availability of the right technology.

With FH eyepal, a fully functional digital eye clinic can now be deployed rapidly in primary healthcare settings, enabling earlier detection, timely referral and better continuity of care. We believe this has the potential to redefine how eye care is delivered, making it more accessible, scalable and connected than ever before."

The launch of FH eyepal reinforces Forus Health's commitment to building innovative technologies that simplify eye care delivery while expanding access to quality screening. By combining portable diagnostics, digital workflows, and artificial intelligence, the company continues to enable scalable, connected eye care solutions that support healthcare providers in reaching more patients, more efficiently.
