In Gujarat, four passengers who arrived by Vande Bharat flight AI 1172 from London to Ahmedabad at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport tested COVID19 positive.

In Gujarat, four passengers who arrived by Vande Bharat flight AI 1172 from London to Ahmedabad at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport tested COVID19 positive.

There were 275 passengers on board the flight.

Those detected positive have been shifted to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation-run SVP Hospital for treatment.

Reports state that all passengers from UK flight landed before Tuesday midnight at Ahmedabad airport undergo mandatory RT-PCR test at the airport.

Meanwhile, Gujarat has recorded 988 new cases of Covid19 during the last 24 hours.

AIR correspondent reports, the total number of Covid19 cases detected so far in Gujarat has reached up to 2, 37,247.

Out of these, 2,21,602 patients recovered. 1209 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. 

The recovery rate reached 93.41 percent.

More than 91.62 lakh tests have been carried out in the state till date. 

Maximum of 209 new cases reported from Ahmedabad, while Surat recorded 160 new cases.

At present, the total number of active cases in the state is 11397, out of which 64 patients are on a ventilator.

Seven patients died on Tuesday taking the total deaths due to Covid19 up to 4248.
