A team of Ambassadors and Heads of Foreign Missions will be visiting Hyderabad today. They will be visiting the biotech companies including Bharat Biotech, and Biological E to see personally the development works relating to the COVID vaccine development and manufacturing.

The Ministry of External Affairs is organizing the visit in which about 80 heads of missions will be taking part. This is the first such visit and similar visits are also likely to take place in other cities.

Earlier, State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar reviewed all arrangements for the high-profile visit and directed the state officials to make all arrangements.

The visit gained importance especially in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bharat Biotech.
