Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR has initiated efforts in mission mode to ramp up testing to 45 lakhs per day and massively upscale rural testing by the 30th of June.

Earlier this month, ICMR revised a testing strategy that rationalizes testing through RT PCR and enhanced testing in rural areas. In the last 17 months, ICMR has covered many milestones as India continues its fight against COVID.

India had reached the landmark of 300 million cumulative tests on 7th of May.
