More than 28 lakh Healthcare Workers Vaccinated across the country till yesterday

The total number of healthcare workers vaccinated against COVID-19 till date (the thirteenth day of the vaccination drive) has crossed 28 lakh yesterday.

A total of 28,47,608 beneficiaries were vaccinated through 52,667 sessions, as per the provisional report (till 7 pm yesterday).

4,91,615 beneficiaries were vaccinated through 9,994 sessions till 7 pm yesterday. The sessions and the number of beneficiaries being vaccinated every day have shown a progressive increase. 13 States and UTs have each vaccinated more than 1 lakh beneficiaries (accounting for 83.31% of the total). 293 AEFIs have been reported till 7 pm on day-13 of the vaccination drive.

Meanwhile, the country's COVID-19 recovery rate reached 96.96 per cent with the total recovery of more than 20 thousand patients in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry said that more than one crore three lakh patients have already recovered from this disease. Covid-19 active cases are on a continuous declining trajectory in the country.

Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is 1,71,686 which comprises only 1.60 per cent of the total positive cases.

A total number of 18,855 new cases have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours taking the cumulative positive cases to over one crore seven lakh.

The Health Ministry said,163 deaths have been reported during the last 24 hour taking the toll to over 1,54,000 across the country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research said that various laboratories have conducted more than 7,42,000 tests of corona virus samples during the last 24 hours and more than 19,50,0,000 tests have been done in the country so far.
