Mumbai, 17 February 2026: Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) will host the 11th edition of the Global Pharmaceutical Quality Summit (GPQS) on February 23–24, 2026, in Mumbai, centred on the theme “Reimagining Pharma Operations - Talent, Technology and Trust”.
Shri J P Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers, will deliver the keynote address in the inaugural session. Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drugs Controller General of India, will offer the inaugural remarks. Mr. Nilesh Gupta, Managing Director, Lupin, and Chair, IPA Quality Forum, will present the opening industry address. The concluding address will be delivered by Shri Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals.
The Summit serves as a premier platform for thought leadership, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, shaping the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality excellence.
The theme “Reimagining Pharma Operations – Talent, Technology and Trust” reflects the shift of pharmaceutical quality from a compliance requirement to a deeply embedded quality culture. By empowering skilled talent, leveraging advanced technologies, and building trust, the industry is redefining quality to meet rising global standards and make operations more resilient.
This edition will feature around 12 high-impact sessions with eminent speakers, including representatives from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), alongside global industry and consulting experts. Highlights include a CEO panel discussion, dedicated sessions featuring CIO/CTO leadership, and perspectives from advanced manufacturing and technology leaders, with a focus on AI-enabled and digitally integrated operations, fostering cross-sector learning.
The Summit will also witness the launch of two IPA Industry Best Practices Guidelines aimed at strengthening quality and compliance across the value chain:
- Best Practices in Logistics and Transportation Worthiness for Pharmaceutical Product Packaging
- Best Practices in Sustainability in the Pharmaceutical Industry
In addition, IPA will introduce the Lifetime Achievement Award in Academia, recognising distinguished contributions to pharmaceutical science and quality, and the Hackathon Winning Presentation, spotlighting innovation and emerging talent in quality advancement.
