Puducherry, 22 February 2026: Iswarya Hospital, OMR Chennai, a leading center for complex oncological interventions, hosted ISWARYA CANCER CONFERENCE – IC-CON 2026 in Pondicherry today. The one-day conference brought together over 100 doctors from Pondicherry and neighbouring districts of Tamil Nadu to discuss the latest advancements in breast and gynaecological oncology. Prof. Dr. S. Rajasundaram, Director of Iswarya Cancer Centre and CEO of Iswarya Hospital, inaugurated the conference. IC-CON 2026.
IC-CON 2026 aimed to create vital awareness regarding gynaecological malignancies, modern diagnostic methods, and evolving treatment options, empowering the local medical community with knowledge for earlier diagnoses and improved patient outcomes. A key focus of the conference was on Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS).

“The conference brought together a multidisciplinary team of health experts, with Dr. Deepa Chegu speaking on improving diagnostic confidence in breast cancer and the role of 3D mammography. Dr. Ruthrendra highlighted HIPEC in gynaecological cancers, while Dr. Varadharajan shared molecular insights from MDT to management and its implications in endometrial cancer. Dr. Rishan discussed precision radiation in gynaecological cancers, Dr. Ramprabhu presented his views on immunotherapy in gynaecological cancers and Dr. Rajasundaram delivered a video session on SLNB and robotic staging for endometrial cancer.
The one-day conference concluded with a panel discussion on interesting and challenging cases in gynaecological oncology.
