Jupiter Hospital Hosted the Organ Donation Awareness Program on Organ Donation Day

Jupiter Hospital remains committed to raising awareness about organ donation and encouraging people to support this important cause. Through events like this, the hospital aims to educate the public and inspire more people to become organ donors, ultimately saving lives.

Jupiter Hospital successfully hosted an Organ Donation Awareness program in association with Federation of Organ & Body Donation to mark Organ Donation Day. This initiative aimed to educate the community about the crucial importance of organ donation.

The event featured a special awareness poster launch, which was led by RJ Sumit from Radio City and in presence of  Dr. Ganesh Bhoir - President of the Private Hospital Association, Pune District, Dr Maya Bhalerao - President of IMA PCB and Dr. Vinod Wani, President of the Homeopathy Association. RJ Sumit urged young people to use their social media platforms to share information and personal stories, emphasizing, “Social media is a powerful tool, he highlighted how powerful social media can be for spreading awareness about organ donation. By sharing knowledge and stories about organ donation, we can inspire others and make a real difference. Every post helps spread awareness and can ultimately save lives.”

The event also included the digital launch of an e-book and musical album on organ donation. This was managed by Mr. Sunil Deshpande, Vice President of the Federation of Organ & Body Donation. Mr. Sunil Deshpande spoke about the importance of organ donation, saying, “Choosing to donate your organs is a generous act that can turn a difficult moment into a life-saving gift for others. I encourage everyone to think about the impact they can have and consider becoming an organ donor. Your decision can bring hope and healing to many.”

Mr. Shrikant Kulkarni, Secretary of the Federation, added, “Organ donation is a powerful act of kindness that can save multiple lives. Each donor gives others a chance to live. I urge everyone to think about becoming an organ donor. Your choice can make a big difference.” Dr. Ravi Pratap - Consultant, Emergency Medicine, concluded the event with a thank you note, appreciating all the participants and stressing the importance of collective efforts in promoting organ donation

The event was attended by key figures from the Senior management of Jupiter Hospital,Pune.
