Karnataka reports 9366 new COVID-19 positive cases in last 24 hours

1,03,631 active patients are taking treatment across the State among them 805 patients are in ICU. A total of 40,58,313 covid tests have been conducted in the State, of which 72,030 tests were carried out yesterday.

In Karnataka 9,366 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported during the last twenty-four hours taking the tally to 4,94,356.  On the other hand, 7,268 people were cured of Covid and were discharged from various hospitals in the State. 

So far a total number of 3,83,077 people have recovered from the disease. 93 people succumbed to the disease and the total number of fatalities has increased to 7,629.  1,03,631 active patients are taking treatment across the State among them 805 patients are in ICU.  A total of 40,58,313 covid tests have been conducted in the State, of which 72,030 tests were carried out yesterday.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Energy Minister Nitin Raut today tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the ninth member of the State Cabinet to contract the infection. Mr. Raut, who is also the Working President of the State Congress, tweeted about his diagnosis.

Earlier, Ministers Jitendra Awhad, Ashok Chavan, Dhananjay Munde, Sunil Kedar, Balasaheb Patil, Aslam Shaikh, Abdul Sattar, and Vishwajit Kadam had tested positive for COVID-19.
