Hyderabad, September 3rd, 2026: A 62-year-old man has successfully undergone robotic surgery for a tumour in his left kidney at Amor Hospitals, and was discharged in a stable condition on the third postoperative day, following a smooth recovery.

The patient, Suresh, a resident of Hyderabad, presented with occasional abdominal pain and underwent a routine medical evaluation. Further investigations, including a CT scan, revealed a tumour in the left kidney. Following detailed preoperative evaluation and optimisation, doctors planned a robotic left radical nephrectomy to remove the affected kidney.

Following the procedure, the patient was mobilised early and showed good overall recovery without any reported major postoperative concerns. He was discharged on the third postoperative day and will continue regular follow-up and surveillance as advised by the treating team.

The successful outcome of the procedure performed by Dr. Kalyan Vangara and Dr. Poojitha Yalla, Consultant Surgical Oncologist, was supported by a multidisciplinary team, with Dr. Jagadeesh, Anaesthesiology, overseeing perioperative anaesthesia and monitoring, and Dr. Pratyusha, Critical Care, contributing to postoperative management and recovery.
