KIMS Hospitals (Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences), Mahadevapura, announced the launch of the Institute of Neurosciences and Centre of Excellence in Neuromodulation, marking a significant step in advancing specialized neurological care in the region.

Bengaluru, April 6, 2026: KIMS Hospitals (Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences), Mahadevapura, announced the launch of the Institute of Neurosciences and Centre of Excellence in Neuromodulation, marking a significant step in advancing specialized neurological care in the region. The state-of-the-art facility aims to provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for a wide range of neurological disorders under one roof.

This newly launched center is designed to address the needs of patients with various neurological conditions. These include Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and chronic pain. It is designed to offer the latest treatment options, including neuromodulation and minimally invasive surgery. It is a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation specialists.

The center also hosts an event in observance of World Parkinson’s Day on April 11thCelebrating the Strength of Patients Living with Parkinson’s Disease. This is to increase the awareness on Parkinson’s disease and talk about the advancements in neurosciences treating simple to complex ailments and explaining the benefits to the patients. This gathering provided patient and care givers a platform to share their story and showcase the strength of togetherness.

Ms. Kala Krishnaswamy, IPS (DIG Crime), inaugurated the center in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Prashanth Prakash, along with Dr. Nitish Shetty and Mr. Sreenath Reddy. The ceremony also saw the participation of distinguished Guests of Honour including Dr. Nandakumar Jairam, noted healthcare leader; Dr. H. V. Srinivas, renowned neurologist; Dr. Balaji Pai, Professor and Head of Neurosurgery at BMCRI.
