Lack of beds, saline stands affect healthcare at Khariar CHC

Shortage of beds and saline stand in the Khariar hospital and CHCs in the district is a perennial problem affecting the district. Patients and their relatives are experiencing a harrowing time as beds are not available when needed the most.

Lack of an adequate number of beds and saline stand has affected the healthcare services at the Khariar Road community healthcare centre (CHC). Patients and their relatives are experiencing a harrowing time as beds are not available when needed the most.

Even though the government has launched schemes to provide quality medicines and treatments for patients, they are still allegedly seen lying on the veranda of the Khariar community healthcare centre (CHC) due to lack of beds. Patients suffering from jaundice, malaria and other such diseases get admission in the medicine ward. However, many of them have to sleep on the veranda because of shortage of beds. Health services in this town have gone for a toss due to the alleged apathetic attitude of district health administration towards the local community health centre (CHC).

Shortage of beds and saline stand in the Khariar hospital and CHCs in the district is a perennial problem affecting the district. Being deprived of timely healthcare, people are forced to go to private hospitals.
