Madhya Pradesh reported 440 fresh COVID cases yesterday while 228 patients were discharged from hospitals taking the count of recoveries in the state to 2,56,116.
In Madhya Pradesh, COVID positivity rate increased to 2.7 per cent. Indore reported the highest COVID cases with 162 new cases followed by Bhopal with 111 fresh COVID cases. With one patient succumbing to the infection in Betul, the death toll increase to 3,866.
No fresh COVID-19 case was reported in 14 of the total 52 districts in the state.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, on Thursday, received the first dose of COVID vaccine. He said that our country is rapidly moving on the path of freedom from this virus. Mr Chouhan also appealed to all those who are in the vaccine category to get vaccinated and speed up the effort against COVID-19.
