In Maharashtra's Marathwada region indefinite night curfew is being imposed in the district of Hingoli from tonight in the wake of a spike in COVID-19 cases.
According to the District Magistrate, night curfew will begin at 7 pm every day and shall remain till next morning 7 am. Shops providing essential commodities will remain open during the whole day. In Jalna district, all schools, colleges, hostels, coaching classes and residential schools will remain closed till 31st March. Weekly markets will remain shut and all yearly village fairs and programs are also banned in the district.
Meanwhile, on the background of increasing COVID-19 patients, a curfew has been imposed in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra from 23rdFeb. There will be a curfew from eleven o'clock at night to six o'clock in the morning
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collector Sunil Chavan,Commissioner of Police Dr Nikhil Gupta and Municipal Commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey yesterday. After the meeting the Police Commissioner's office issued anorder in this regard. The curfew will be in force till March 8. During this period, essential commodities, the industrial sector and its employees have been exempted from the curfew.
