The YCM Hospital in Pimpri Chinchwad, which was reserved for the treatment of COVID-19 patients is now open to non-COVID patients as well.
Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar informed that fifty per cent of the hospital beds have been reserved for COVID patients.
The hospital has said that care will be taken to ensure that these patients do not come in contact with Corona-infected patients. On the other hand, with the number of Corona virus cases coming down, Solapur District Administration has decided to shut down three COVID dedicated facilities set up across the district.
Accordingly, the COVID Care Centres set up at ESIC, Government Polytechnic and Wadia Hospital will be closed.
In the last five months, 374 patients received treatment at these facilities.
The combined bed capacity of these three facilities was 227 and a team of 150 doctors and support staff were employed to take care of patients.
Civic Medical Officer, Dr. B. Dudhbate has informed that the facilities will be reopened in the future, if required
