Medical information platform for healthcare professionals MediSage gains $7 million in its first institutional funding round. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Other participants of the round were Rahul Mukim of The Carlyle Group, TP Devarajan of Invascent Advisory Services, Vijay Datt of Citadel Management Consulting and Clean Sciences and Technology’s Siddharth Sikchi. The funds will be used to expand the team and strengthen their offering.
Founded by healthcare veterans Bhagwat Dhingra, Abhishek Ghosh and Anurag Dhingra, the startup shares knowledge and the latest innovation in the healthcare front to the healthcare providers. Their news section feature helps doctors be aware of the latest findings of the best medical journals. It also offers the option of discussing case studies with experts and peers. The platform also hosts live webinars where questions can be asked and doubts can be solved.
